Port Complex of Suape

Besides the ports of Recife and Petrolina, Pernambuco has a third port, Suape, which is almost concluded. The industrial and port complex is situated 40 kilometres from Recife and gives easy access to international markets. Suape is a point of convergence for the principal trade routes linking the Atlantic coast of South America to other continents. The port is connected to the national highway and rail networks. Suape is managed by Sudene, a government agency for encouraging development in the North East region.
