In order to know Ceará properly, one would have to include semi-wild beaches such as Jericoacoara, Nova Tatajuba and Canoa Quebrada. The first two lie west of the capital, and access to them by land is only possible with a four wheel drive vehicle. Canoa Quebrada is to the east of Fortaleza and can be reached from Aracati. In the capital, the most popular beach is Futuro. For those who like peace and quiet, one option is Morro Branco beach, in Beberibe.
