One of the biggest box-office hits of Brazilian cinema and the most popular story of adultery in Brazilian imagination, written by Jorge Amado. Costume comedy full of naughtiness and with a fantastic denouement, it projected to the world outside Brazil the sensuality of the actress Sonia Braga, and opened the doors to the world cinema industry for the director Bruno Barreto.
